The Talsiman of The Religion By the Primal Point of Bayan

This manuscript covered in 36 pages is a transcript of a talisman in which the Primal Point has included a summary of Bayanic provisions during the latter days of his life. According to a letter by Sayyed Hussayn known as Mulla Abdul-Karim who was an amanuensis of His Holiness, there were only two copies of this work, one by the handwriting of His Holiness himself and another by Sayyed Hussayn which was in the pocket of His Holiness which was stollen by a certain individual named Khanjar Khan together with other object in Dilmaqan (a village in north western part of Iran near the town of Salmas).

Sayyed Hussayn however recorded the details and whereabouts of the thief in the same letter with great details and hopped that perhaps the copy would be retrieved. What is known is that the manuscript did not reach the hands of the believers and having made all efforts nothing except an erroneous copy which has been made by a person with no unfamiliarity (with Bayanic lietrature) was obtained

According to a letter by Subh-i Azal written in response to a question by a believer, that copy seen in Teheran also fell into the hands of the Bahais together with other works. After nearly a century a copy of it written by a Bahai scribe from a book with the end-note "written on13th of the month of mighty Ramadhan 1268 A.H (1st July 1852".

After much search and research another copy was also obtained with the handwriting of Sayyed Rahim the amanuensis of Isfahan in which the time of its writing is noted as 'early Shawal 1267'. Having made all efforts to use both copies in order to correct the errors of the authors, error in many of the words is still apparent and were hence left as they were with footnotes noted for some only.

Even though the timing of the writing of both copies are close to the time it was revealed, it is obvious that one who was of the wicked and has taken copy at the behest of Khanjar Khan has been so much of an ignorant who went as far as swapping the second and the fifth unities and including some of the beginning of the fifth unity at the end of the fourth unity.

Nevertheless, in view of the importance of this precious work as noted in the first chapter of its sixth unity stating that it includes the essence of the Bayan, it was decided to publish the present erroneous copy hopping that it is of guidance to the seekers and researchers in future.

It is obvious that this work is the very talisman that the Primal Point has referred to as 'The Talisman of the Religion' in an introduction to a commentary on its first two chapters. It is evident from the commentary that the first chapter was written on the1st day of the sixth month of the seventh year of the Bayanic manifestation and the second chapter was written on the 2nd of the same month (23rd and 24th June 1850 A.D or 12th and 13th of Sha'ban 1266 A.H). The commencement of the seventh year (of Bayanic manifestation) occurred on 5th of the 1st Jamadi 1266A.H (19th March 1850) which coincides with the first Bayani New Year.

Evidently, this precious work was written very close to the martyrdom of His Holiness the Primal Point on 8th July 1850, only fourteen days before earlier. The commentary presented here and made available to the seekers of truth and the research community is copied by the late Mirza Muhammad Taqi of Isfahan a very accurate and precise scriber.
