Book Of Recompense (کتاب جزا)

The 'Book of Recompense' revealed in Maku is one of the important but less known of the Primal Point. Copies of this book are extremely rare and the present copy is one of the very few copies which have survived. It is not a complete copy and it is hoped that more complete copy of this book is made available.

The style of the book of Recompense is that of 'hymn' and is in allusion to God recompensing the believers and the unbelievers. The initial twelve pages contain Bayanic provisions. In the later part of the book, it makes references to the provisions for the visiting of the place (in Tabriz) محل ضرب where His Holiness was the subject of utmost disrespect and was given bastinado.

The name of the book 'Recompense' appears to be in reference to the punishment that God ordains for those who commit such acts. هذا جزائکم فی دین الله علی ما کسبتم "This is your recompense in religion of God for what you have gained (for yourselves)".

"Be of assistance to (the religion of) God with your tongue, your hands and your lives."
The book is revealed in Maku and after the mock trials in Tabriz in the year 1264 A.H (1847 A.D).
