The Mirror of Bayan

مرآت البیان

The concept of Mirror-Hood has no precedence before the Bayanic dispensation. It was first referred to in the writings of His Holiness the Primal Point to describe how faith is spread from the Point to others. It is compared to the Sun manifested in the Primal Point is Mirrored by the 18 Letters of the Living which is then reflected to others on a cascading basis increasing the number of believers. The purer one’s soul is the more reflecting is the Mirror of his Heart.

Therefore only traces of the reflection of the Sun are visible in these secondary Mirrors. Subh-i Azal was the full Mirror of the Primal Point. All things in the Primal Point were to be able to be seen in Subh-i Azal. This is the direct implication of the Point addressing Subh-i Azal in terms of “I am you, and you are me”, and the fact that Subh-i Azal also revealed divinely inspired verses and that was to reveal the remainder of the Persian Bayan if the time should be propitious.

The notion ‘Mirror’ is to replace the previously used ‘Successor’ or ‘Deputy’ which have no place in Bayan as they do not accurately describe their roles.

The Mirror of (the religion of) Bayan was Subh-i Azal. All that Subh-i Azal has said and has written is identical what the Primal Point would have said or written, because there was only one Source of revelation.
